Mayer Brown Aids Data Center REIT In 2 Deals For $148M

Law360, New York (January 05, 2012, 3:27 PM ET) -- Digital Realty Trust Inc., one of the nation's biggest owners of leasable data storage centers, has bought two facilities totaling nearly 500,000 square feet of server space for $148 million, the real estate investment trust announced late Wednesday.

The REIT, whose tenants include some of the country's biggest mobile and Internet technology companies, including Yahoo Inc., picked up a 155,000-square-foot San Francisco facility for $85 million and a 334,000-square-foot Atlanta center for $63 million. The names of the previous owners were not disclosed.
