Mohegan Sun Joins Bidding War Over Race Tracks

Law360, New York (July 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- To the chagrin of the bankrupt New York Racing Association Inc., a new competitor entered the bidding on Monday over the right to control the state of New York's thoroughbred racetracks and video slot machines.

Casino operator Mohegan Sun, run by the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, said on Monday that it would add its backing to gaming company Capital Play Inc.'s $1.8 million bid to run New York's Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga race tracks.
