Lloyd's Must Face Visa Suit Over Call-Recording Coverage

Law360, New York (January 10, 2012, 2:58 PM EST) -- A California state judge on Friday turned down Lloyd's of London's attempt to end Visa Inc.'s lawsuit seeking coverage of a class action settlement over phone calls recorded without consent.

Visa's attorney would not confirm whether the settlement at issue was the $18 million deal that in November ended a class action accusing Visa of illegally recording phone calls in six states.
