Congressman Says Daley Resigned Due To Solyndra Probe

Law360, Wilmington (January 10, 2012, 4:45 PM EST) -- The Republican congressman spearheading the probe of Solyndra LLC said on Tuesday that White House Chief of Staff William Daley’s departure was spurred by the investigation of the bankrupt solar panel maker’s $535 million government-backed loan.

Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., said in a statement that Daley “led the administration’s obstruction of the committee’s investigation,” and warned that his successor needs to comply with a subpoena for the administration’s records on Solyndra that Daley had dodged.
