GE Unit Resolves Wage-And-Hour Action For $1M

Law360, New York (January 11, 2012, 4:04 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Monday granted final approval to a $1 million settlement in a class action alleging GE Osmonics Inc. denies its hourly workers the wages and rest periods they are due under state law.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey T. Miller approved the agreement, which stipulates that the 156 putative class members who submitted a valid claim form will receive a cash payment based on their weeks of employment with the General Electric Co. division throughout the class period.
