Lawmaker Floats Resolution Blasting Recess Appointments

Law360, New York (January 11, 2012, 3:37 PM EST) -- Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn., on Tuesday introduced a resolution formally disapproving President Barack Obama's recess appointments to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the National Labor Relations Board.

More than 70 Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives joined on the resolution, which attacks Obama's Jan. 4 move to appoint four previously blocked nominations — CFPB head Richard Cordray and NLRB members Sharon Block, Richard Griffin and Terence F. Flynn — to their posts.
