Microsoft Drops Patent Claims In ITC Fight Over Nook

Law360, Los Angeles (January 11, 2012, 8:50 PM ET) -- Microsoft Corp. sought Tuesday to drop a number of patent claims from a U.S. International Trade Commission investigation of Barnes & Noble in the companies’ patent and antitrust fight over the bookseller’s Nook e-reader, saying the move would simplify the ITC’s investigation.
