Adidas Exits Lodsys' Product Data Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 11, 2012, 11:03 PM ET) -- Adidas America Inc. on Wednesday exited patent-licensing company Lodsys LLC's suit alleging the footwear giant and others infringed technology allowing companies and users to electronically share product information.

U.S. District Judge J. Rodney Gilstrap dismissed all claims without prejudice.

Each party will bear their own attorneys’ fees and costs. Further terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Lodsys brought the suit in June against Adidas, CVS Caremark Corp., Sam's Club and others, claiming the defendants infringe U.S. Patent Numbers 5,999,908 and 7,222,078 with the customer feedback,...
