Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 7:29 PM ET) -- A federal judge on Friday refused to dismiss a conspiracy charge from a case accusing an ex-Ohio county commissioner of trading government contracts for kickbacks including a trip to Las Vegas, home improvements, cash and sex.
U.S. District Judge Sara Lioi rejected ex-commissioner James Dimora's argument that federal prosecutors had failed to support a charge of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud, noting they clearly alleged he had sought and accepted sexual favors and other valuables “in exchange for favorable official action.”...
