Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 7:30 PM ET) -- Film and television studio Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. has agreed to purchase Summit Entertainment LLC, the film company behind the hit "Twilight" series, for a combination of cash and stock valued at $412.5 million, it announced Friday.
The deal will put two teen film franchises under the same roof: Summit's vampire blockbusters and Lionsgate's upcoming movies based on the "Hunger Games" novel series.
