Motorola Dodges Apple's Infringement Claims In ITC

Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 9:37 PM EST) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge has initially determined that Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. didn't infringe three Apple Inc. patents in the production of several of its smartphones, Motorola said Friday.

It's the latest development in the global patent fight between Apple and Motorola, which is further fueled by Google Inc.'s proposed $12.5 billion takeover of Motorola. Smartphones running Google's Android operating system are the biggest competitor to Apple's popular iPhone.
