Law360, New York (January 17, 2012, 10:07 PM ET) -- California-American Water Co. on Tuesday withdrew its support for a desalination project alliance on which it had partnered with the Marina Coast Water District and the Monterey County Water Resources Agency, putting the proposed $404 million Monterey Bay, Calif.-based venture at risk.
