Another Litigator Quits Cooley's Palo Alto IP Group

Law360, New York (February 11, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the third defection from Cooley Godward’s Palo Alto office so far this year, McDermott Will & Emery has hired a former Cooley partner to co-chair the firm’s biotechnology and life sciences practice group.

William G. Gaede, III joined the firm’s IP group as a partner on Monday, McDermott said.

He is expected to continue to focus his practice on significant intellectual property disputes in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, according to Anthony de Alcuaz, partner-in-charge of the Firm's Silicon Valley office.
