Commerce Backs Zeroing In Ball Bearings Case

Law360, New York (January 19, 2012, 7:52 PM EST) -- The government on Thursday defended using zeroing to calculate dumping margins in SKF USA Inc.’s case challenging an anti-dumping review on ball bearing imports, saying the U.S. Department of Commerce fully complied with a U.S. Court of International Trade remand order.

In comments filed in the U.S. Court of International Trade, Commerce said it had duly reconsidered its use of zeroing and offered additional explanation and justification for the calculation methodology in its remanded administrative review.
