Turkish PE Firm To Throw Hat Into Ring For Saab

Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 1:51 PM EST) -- Turkish private equity firm Brightwell Holdings BV confirmed Thursday that it intends to bid on bankrupt Saab Automobile AB, putting it in competition with China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Co., which has long been trying to acquire the beleaguered Swedish automaker.

Brightwell executives have told Swedish journalists that the Istanbul-based firm, which invests in energy, transportation and technology, is interested in the entire auto manufacturing company and in keeping production in Trollhattan, Sweden.
