Jobs Bio, Publisher Emails Show E-Book Price Plot: Suit

Law360, New York (January 23, 2012, 1:33 PM ET) -- A group of e-book purchasers on Friday bolstered their claims in a multidistrict litigation accusing Apple Inc. and six major publishers of fixing e-book prices, saying executive emails and portions of a Steve Jobs biography pointed to a conspiracy.

In an amended consolidated complaint filed in New York federal court, the e-book purchasers claim to have uncovered statements and emailed comments from executives at several publishing houses that demonstrated active collusion, which resulted in e-book price hikes of more than 30 percent.
