Olin, BAE Join Forces To Pursue $2B Army Contract

Law360, New York (January 23, 2012, 6:54 PM ET) -- Olin Corp. and BAE Systems Inc. are teaming up in the hope of landing a U.S. Army ammunition plant contract that could be worth more than $2 billion over a decade, the companies said Monday.

Clayton, Mo.-based Olin's Winchester Ammunition Division and BAE subsidiary BAE Systems Ordnance Systems are forming a joint venture named U.S. Munitions LLC, the companies said. The new entity is submitting a proposal for a contract to operate the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Mo.
