Airline, Others Sued Over ArrivalStar Vehicle Tracking IP

Law360, San Diego (January 24, 2012, 9:47 PM EST) -- Continuing their patent infringement campaign, Melvino Technologies Ltd. and its licensee ArrivalStar SA on Monday asserted vehicle tracking technology against Taca International Airlines SA and several other defendants in Florida federal court.

The plaintiffs claim in two complaints that Taca and data transformation service provider UpNet Technologies Inc. have infringed seven patents with products and services that allow customers to stay updated on the status of shipments.
