Committee Moves Derivatives Rules To Full House

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 2:06 PM ET) -- A key committee on Wednesday moved six bills aimed at further clarifying derivatives rules required under the 2010 rewrite of financial regulations, including one that would limit rules for new swap execution facilities, to the full U.S. House of Representatives.

The six bills passed by the House Agriculture Committee in bipartisan voice votes are all aimed at curtailing the “unintended consequences” of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, said committee chairman Frank Lucas, R-Okla.
