Foxconn Hounded By Pulse Over Connector Patents

Law360, New York (January 24, 2012, 8:01 PM ET) -- Foxconn Electronics Inc., the maker of electronic components for Apple Inc. and many other major technology companies, was hit with a patent infringement suit Tuesday by components maker Pulse Electronics Inc. over modular connectors.

The suit, filed in California federal court, claims that modular jack port connectors sold by Taiwan-based Foxconn infringe seven Pulse patents. Modular connectors are the components used to connect telephone, Ethernet and other cables to electronic devices.
