NY Condo Developer Must Return $16M In Down Payments

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 5:44 PM ET) -- A New York condominium developer's argument that its Manhattan condo offering plan was bungled by outside counsel was rejected last week by a state court judge, who ordered the developer to return $16 million in down payments for the condo.

Judge Anil C. Singh on Jan. 19 dismissed CRP/Extell Parcel I LP's attempt to challenge a 2010 ruling by former New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo ordering it to repay the down payments for The Rushmore, a luxury condo complex on the Upper West Side....
