9th Circ. Won't Overturn Sanctions Against Ariz. Attorney

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 9:44 PM EST) -- The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday rejected an Arizona attorney's attempt to reverse his license suspension after a judge denounced his representation of a construction company in a multimillion-dollar cash and securities fraud case against several law firms, including Greenberg Traurig LLP.

Grant H. Goodman had argued that the Arizona federal court abused its discretion in imposing sanctions and did so without a hearing, cross-examination or evidence.

The three-judge panel was unconvinced and upheld the lower court's ruling.
