Ex-Store Manager Hits Dress Barn With OT Action

Law360, New York (January 26, 2012, 6:02 PM EST) -- A former store manager launched a putative class action against The Dress Barn Inc. in California state court on Wednesday, alleging the company neglected to pay employees overtime wages and provide adequate breaks.

The suit, which names current and former store managers and assistant managers as potential class members, claims the women's clothing store failed to provide managers with meal and rest breaks, proper overtime wages and accurate wage statements, in violation of the California labor code.
