National Solar Gets County OK For $350M Fla. Farm

Law360, New York (January 26, 2012, 5:59 PM EST) -- National Solar Power LLC has gotten the go-ahead from county officials in the Florida panhandle to build a 100-megawatt solar farm for up to $350 million, boosting its pipeline capacity for the state to 700 megawatts, the company announced Thursday.

The Liberty County project is the smallest of three projects National Solar has announced since September, with a total expected cost of $2.6 billion. The company is also developing a 400-megawatt farm in neighboring Gadsden County and a 200-megawatt installation in Hardee County.
