Expropriation Coverage For Feed-In-Tariff Projects

Law360, New York (February 02, 2012, 2:23 PM ET) -- Currently, more than 60 countries or their political subdivisions, as well as some jurisdictions in the United States, Canada and Australia, have adopted feed-in-tariff, or FIT, programs for certain types of renewable energy projects, such as wind, solar, biomass and hydroelectric projects. These countries include Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Peru, the Philippines, Spain, South Africa, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
