Judge Hits Brakes On AutoZone Managers' OT Suit

Law360, New York (January 27, 2012, 9:48 PM ET) -- AutoZone Inc. store managers are properly deemed overtime exempt, despite being bound by detailed corporate policies and spending significant time on customer service and other nonexempt tasks, a federal judge ruled Friday, dismissing an employee class action seeking back pay for overtime wages.
