Google Cries Conflict For Pepper In Digitude IP Row

Law360, New York (January 30, 2012, 2:25 PM EST) -- Google Inc. on Friday urged the U.S. International Trade Commission to disqualify Pepper Hamilton LLP from representing Digitude Inc. in patent litigation mostly targeting products that use Google’s Android platform, saying the firm’s work for Google presents a conflict of interest.

The suit contends that Inc.'s Kindle, as well as tablets and smartphones made by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., HTC Corp., Research In Motion Ltd., Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. and others violate four Digitude patents. Google, which is not a party to the suit, claims...
