Bill Aims To Scrap Airline Tax Disclosure Rule

Law360, New York (January 30, 2012, 6:54 PM EST) -- Rep. Tom Graves, R-Ga., said Monday he was introducing a bill that would eliminate a U.S. Department of Transportation provision implemented last week requiring airlines to include government-mandated taxes and fees in published fares.

Under a provision rolled out by the DOT on Thursday, airlines and ticket agents must include all mandatory taxes and fees in the price total when they are advertising airfares.
