Acacia Settles Suit Over Monitoring Patents

Law360, New York (July 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A unit of publicly traded patent-holding company Acacia Research Corp. has settled its patent infringement suit against Motive Inc. over computer systems monitoring technology, Acacia said Tuesday.

Company representatives said terms of the agreement were confidential. Acacia subsidiary Diagnostic Systems Corp.'s suit is still pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Symantec Corp., CA Inc., F-Secure Inc., NetIQ Corp., Quest Software Inc. and NetScout Systems Inc.
