Law360, New York (February 02, 2012, 5:29 PM ET) -- The federal government argued Tuesday that kickbacks accepted by high-level KBR Inc. managers clearly influenced the award of dining facility subcontracts in Iraq and claimed KBR did not deserve $41 million in withheld contract payments.
The U.S. made the arguments in a post-trial brief in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, which is preparing to issue a ruling in a lawsuit KBR brought claiming the government improperly withheld payment for dining facility services provided at Camp Anaconda in Iraq after determining the rates were unreasonably high....
