Law360, New York (February 02, 2012, 4:12 PM ET) -- U.K. energy officials on Wednesday announced a new licensing round for 2,800 offshore oil and gas leases, inviting Britain's drillers to get in line for rights to a slice of the lucrative Continental Shelf reserves.
Applications are due May 1, and demand is expected to be high after the last round of licensing in 2010, when a record number were given out.
