Law360, New York (February 02, 2012, 12:54 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has begun a preliminary probe into wireless telecommunications giant Qualcomm Inc. regarding its compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the company said Wednesday.
San Diego-based Qualcomm said in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it learned Jan. 27 that the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California was investigating the company’s activities and compliance regarding the FCPA.
A Qualcomm representative said Thursday that the company believes it is in compliance with the requirements of the FCPA....
