Alcatel-Lucent Exits InNova's Email Patent Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (February 02, 2012, 8:11 PM ET) -- Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. on Thursday resolved a patent dispute with InNova Patent Licensing LLC in Texas, ending its involvement in litigation accusing dozens of companies including Google Inc. and Citigroup Inc. of using InNova's email filtering technology without permission.

The parties submitted a joint motion to dismiss the lawsuit against Alcatel-Lucent with prejudice, terminating all claims and counterclaims asserted by the companies in the patent dispute. Each side agreed to bear its own costs and attorneys' fees, the motion said.
