Ex-Toyota Atty Must Pay $2.6M In Leak Case: 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (February 03, 2012, 5:54 PM ET) -- The Ninth Circuit on Friday upheld a $2.6 million arbitration award against a former Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. in-house counsel who allegedly leaked confidential documents that he claimed showed the company covering up evidence in rollover accident litigation.

A three-judge panel confirmed a California federal judge's decision to confirm the arbitration award against former Toyota attorney Dimitrios P. Biller and also rejected Biller's claim that the lower court had improperly denied his bid to hold Toyota in contempt for deleting documents from his computer....
