Attys' Fees Sink Proposed Adventist FLSA Settlement

Law360, Los Angeles (February 03, 2012, 9:20 PM ET) -- A Florida federal judge Friday rejected a proposed settlement in a putative wage-and-hour collective action brought by three nurses against Adventist Health System/Sunbelt Inc., calling unreasonable a deal that would pay attorneys’ fees more than three times the size of the plaintiffs’ damage award.
