Wells Fargo Loan Officers Seek Class Certification

Law360, New York (July 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In hopes of receiving class certification, loan officers are asking a federal court judge to ignore declarations from current Wells Fargo & Co. employees who were influenced by the company's “campaign of misinformation.”

The loan officers filed papers this week in a California federal court in support of receiving class certification in their case against Wells Fargo for allegedly violating state and federal laws by not paying overtime wages. A hearing on class certification is scheduled before Judge Marilyn Hall Patel on Monday.
