Obama Appoints New White House Procurement Head

Law360, New York (February 6, 2012, 2:35 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama on Friday tapped a former U.S. Small Business Administration official to take over as administrator of federal procurement policy in the Office of Management and Budget.

Obama announced he would nominate Joseph Jordan, the SBA’s former associate contracting chief and a current OMB senior adviser, to head the Office of Federal Procurement Policy.

The OFPP has been without a permanent head since the November departure of its last administrator. Jordan’s nomination came amid several other administration appointments Obama made Friday.
