Law360, New York (February 08, 2012, 3:01 PM ET) -- A Kansas federal judge granted class status to a group of loan officers on Monday in a wage lawsuit accusing Stonegate Mortgage Corp. of paying only commissions and not for hours worked.
In granting a motion to certify the class, U.S. District Judge Eric F. Melgren said plaintiff Chris Jancich “provides sufficient information to meet the lenient burden that he is similarly situated to other loan officers employed by Stonegate” regarding the company's alleged violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
