Pa. Legislator Convicted In Public Funds Scandal

Law360, New York (February 6, 2012, 10:41 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania jury on Monday reportedly convicted a long-standing state representative for his role in a scheme that saw millions of dollars in taxpayer money unlawfully spent on political campaign work.

A jury in the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas found Rep. Bill DeWeese guilty of felony counts of conspiracy, conflict of interest and three counts of theft, according to a report by The Associated Press. The jurors acquitted him of one charge of theft, the AP reported.
