Law360, New York (February 07, 2012, 5:05 PM ET) -- Morrison Foerster LLP has added life sciences attorney and former Howard Hughes Medical Institute associate general counsel Van W. Ellis to its Washington team as partner, the firm announced Monday.
Ellis, who specializes in technology-based collaborations, joint ventures and licensing arrangements, spent nearly three years at nonprofit biomedical research organization Howard Hughes, where he negotiated scientific collaborations and intellectual property agreements with life sciences companies, and advised on operations and legal matters, including policies governing clinical trials, the firm said.
