Law360, New York (February 07, 2012, 1:40 PM ET) -- A loss adjuster failed Monday to toss Whirlpool Corp.'s claim in Michigan federal court that it falsely promised Whirlpool that a Chinese insurer would defend the company in a suit over a fire allegedly caused by a defective air conditioner.
