Motorola Admits Reselling Xoom Tablets With User Data

Law360, New York (February 06, 2012, 8:18 PM ET) -- Motorola Mobility Inc. on Friday revealed that personal information belonging to the former users of about 100 refurbished Xoom tablets may have been compromised after the company failed to properly clear the data prior to resale.

This refurbishment process error occurred in roughly 100 out of a batch of 6,200 Xoom Wi-Fi tablets refurbished by Motorola and resold by the daily deals website Woot.com between October and December, according to the company.
