GAO Kills Honeywell Protest Of $43M Army Vehicle Contract

Law360, Chicago (February 07, 2012, 6:34 PM ET) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office released a decision Tuesday shooting down Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc.'s protest of a nearly $43 million U.S. Army contract awarded to Textron Inc. for repair and refurbishment of armored security vehicles.

In a decision dated Jan. 3, the GAO said it found no basis to sustain Honeywell's challenges to the evaluations of its past performance and its small business participation and performance history, concluding that agency was reasonable and was not required to conduct certain discussions Honeywell alleged were necessary....
