Drug Co. Dava Pays $11M To End Medicaid Rebate Suit

Law360, New York (February 8, 2012, 7:59 PM EST) -- Drugmaker Dava Pharmaceuticals Inc. has agreed to pay $11 million to settle a suit alleging it misreported drug prices to reduce its payments under a Medicaid rebate program, the U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday.

Fort Lee, N.J.-based Dava and its corporate predecessors allegedly underpaid rebates under the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, a program that requires pharmaceutical companies to offer rebates to state and federal Medicaid programs in exchange for having their drugs covered by the programs.
