Law360, New York (February 08, 2012, 6:26 PM ET) -- Amazon.com Inc. on Wednesday announced a content licensing agreement with Viacom Inc. in which the media conglomerate will allow the online retailer to show television episodes from MTV, Comedy Central and other networks to augment Amazon's premium streaming content service.
Through its agreement with Viacom, Amazon will provide users of its for-pay “Instant Video” service instant access to thousands of television episodes in a move that will boost Amazon's profile in the competitive online content distribution market.
