BP, Others Get Emails Excluded From Deepwater Trial

Law360, New York (February 08, 2012, 8:45 PM ET) -- BP PLC, Halliburton Energy Services Inc. and Transocean Ltd. on Wednesday won bids to have several employee emails and messages excluded from the upcoming trial in the Louisiana multidistrict litigation over the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan recommended that U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier, who is presiding over the case, sustain BP's objections to three sets of emails that the plaintiffs’ steering committee and federal government sought to have admitted into evidence.
