Asian Wind Tower Imports Threaten US Industry: ITC

Law360, New York (February 10, 2012, 5:56 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Friday that it saw a reasonable indication that imports of utility scale wind towers from China and Vietnam threatened to materially hurt the domestic industry, allowing countervailing duty and anti-dumping probes to move ahead.

The commission's 5-0 affirmative determination means that the U.S. Department of Commerce can move forward with its investigations, and could issue a preliminary countervailing duty determination on wind towers regarding China by March 23, and preliminary dumping determinations on the Chinese and Vietnamese products by June...
