VA Sued Over Bidding For Lucrative Cemetery Project

Law360, New York (February 10, 2012, 5:12 PM EST) -- A business owned by a service-disabled veteran sued the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs on Friday, alleging the agency should have limited a bid process for a cemetery improvement project worth up to $50 million to businesses owned by service-disabled veterans, but didn’t.

Kevcon Inc. alleges that if the VA is informed that two or more service disabled veteran-owned small businesses plan to bid on the same project, the department has to limit bidding to businesses meeting that definition.
