Antitrust Claims Survive In Software Secrets Theft Suit

Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 4:56 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Monday refused to toss RealPage Inc.'s allegations that Yardi Systems Inc. is strangling the market for property management software in the company's defense against Yardi's trade secrets theft suit.

U.S. District Judge Otis D. Wright II denied Yardi's motion for dismissal of RealPage's claims that its competitor has unfairly boxed in the property management accounting software market by prohibiting its customers from running its software on competitors' cloud database systems.
