Guess Can't Get Gucci Trademark Case Scrapped

Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 5:08 PM EST) -- Guess Inc. lost a bid Tuesday to toss a trademark infringement suit brought by luxury retailer Gucci America Inc. after a New York federal judge found there is a genuine dispute as to whether shoppers are confused by similarities between Gucci and Guess goods.

Gucci filed the trademark lawsuit in May 2009, claiming Guess was selling apparel and handbags that are knockoffs of well-known Gucci designs.
